Abstract
The 3H-disilagermirene, ((Bu2MeSi)-Bu-t)(4)GeSi2, reacts with a hydrogen co ntaining carbonyl compounds (acetophenone, butane-2,3-dione) by an 'ene'-re action pathway followed by isomerization or insertion reactions, representi ng a new mode in the reaction of disilenes with carbonyl compounds.
