Assignment of the total C photoabsorption spectrum of CF3CN in the K-shell
region has been established with the help of an angle-resolved photofragmen
t ion spectroscopy. The anisotropy parameters for the energetic CF3+ and CN
+ fragments were evaluated at the selected photon energies. The linear C-C=
N skeleton basically held in this region since the strongly negative anisot
ropy parameters were obtained at the pi (CN)*<--C-F(1s) transition.
