Abstract
The majority of treatments for laminitis have been based on the theoretical or scientific information regarding the presence of inflammation or altera tion in blood flow due to changes in either vascular tone or thrombus forma tion. Although recent reports have questioned the value of drugs used to af fect vascular tone, new data support the use of antiinflammatory drugs and therapy to decrease local thrombus formation.
