Abstract
In this paper, we consider a diffusional food-limited population model inco rporating a discrete time-delay. For the case when the delay is small, we s how that monotone travelling front solutions exist connecting the two unifo rm steady states of the model. The effect of a larger delay is studied nume rically, suggesting that in this case travelling fronts still exist but los e their monotonicity. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
