Novel computer-aided technique for optimization of the cryogenic storage sy
stem performances is proposed. A new method of optimization, i.e., rotating
coordinates (MRCs) with random search is applied and the parameters of cry
ogenic storage vessels are computed. The optimum geometric sizes of the sys
tem and a set of possible materials for its manufacturing are defined on th
e basis of the computation results. The developed software for computer des
ign of cryogenic system is created on Microsoft C for MS DOS. The results o
f computation are analyzed in comparison with experimental data. (C) 2001 E
