Abstract
Different parameters of fuel atomization can influence the intensity of the rmal radiation of the liquid fuel flame. Investigations which were carried out by the authors proved that the fuel consumption required for heating up the charge in the furnace can be reduced when using appropriate atomizatio n of the fuel. That effect depends mainly on the temperature level within t he furnace, and is more visible for higher temperatures. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
