Abstract
The field-dependent invariant representation ( the dynamical representation ) of the Poincare algebra is considered as a dynamical principle in order t o get a corresponding dynamical electromagnetic coupling for higher spins ( s greater than or equal to 1). If in lower-spin (s = 0, 1/2) cases the dyna mical coupling is taken to coincide with the minimal electromagnetic coupli ng, the higher-spin coupling is inevitably non-minimal, containing a term l inear in the field strength tensor F-muv. This non-minimal coupling leads t o g = 2.
