Abstract
In this letter, we describe a novel technique to provide demultimplexing of fiber Bragg grating sensors, interrogated using interferometric wavelength shift detection. Amplitude modulation of multiple radio frequency driving signals allows an acoustooptic tunable filter to provide wavelength demulti plexing. We demonstrated a noise limited strain resolution of 150 nanostrai n/root Hz and a crosstalk better than -50 dB.
