Abstract
1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane was prepared in 97% selectivity by the vapor-phas e catalytic reaction of 1,1,1-trifluoro-2-chloroethane with anhydrous hydro gen fluoride (AHF) over a metal fluoride catalyst (CrF3 and CoF2) supported on porous aluminum. fluoride (PAF). The relationship between the crystalli ne phase transition of porous aluminum fluoride and temperature from 100 to 640 degreesC was investigated by X-ray diffraction. (C) 2001 Elsevier Scie nce B.V.
