This article is based on personal experience, an experience of grief and no
w, years later; an understanding of its transformative power in ones life.
It is a true story and began some 25 years ago. As those who have gone thro
ugh grief themselves know, it never ceases, it only changes, moves through
its own cycles and permeates ones life. It almost has a life of its own wit
hin one's daily tasks. Eventually, grief can become a subtle and profound f
orce in the act of living that is no longer fell as loss but as gain. In th
is story, I wish to present the idea that the relationship between the grie
ved and the person who has died continues to evolve and grow after the deat
h process.
