Abstract
The complex reflection coefficient for pyridine-Water and Pyridine-Sulfolan e mixtures, at several temperatures and concentrations and the frequency ra nge of 10 MHz to 10 GHz were determined by Time Domain Spectroscopy in refl ection mode. The Fourier transforms, Bilinear calibration method and Least squares fit method were used to obtain the complex permittivity, static die lectric constant, dielectric constant at microwave frequency and relaxation time. The excess dielectric properties, Kirkwood correlation factors for t he binary mixtures were also determined. The static dielectric constant for the mixtures was fitted well with the modified Bruggemann model. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
