Abstract
The precise tune integration (PTI) method is introduced and then its extens ion to the transient heat conduction problem is presented. The symmetry of the matrix exponential of PTI in heat conduction is proved and used in subd omain integration to reduce computational expense a great deal. For nonline ar heat conduction, the predictor-corrector algorithm is employed to solve the nonlinear equations. Numerical examples validate the method.
