Abstract
[GRAPHICS] We report the synthesis of cyclic sulfates by halocyclization. The resultin g cyclic sulfate products can be opened selectively with sodium azide to tr ansform them into highly functionalized compounds that contain azide, alcoh ol, and halide groups.
