We analyze the electric dipole moment of the electron (d(e)), of the neutro
n (d(n)), and of the muon (d mu), using the cancellation mechanism in the p
resence of nonuniversalities of the soft breaking parameters. It is shown t
hat the nonuniversalities in the slepton sector produce a strong violation
of the scaling relation d(mu)/d(e) similar or equal tom(mu)/m(e) in the can
cellation region. An analysis of d(e), d(n), and d(mu) under the constraint
s of the current experimental limits on d(e) and d(n), and under the constr
aints of the recent Brookhaven result on g(mu) - 2, shows that in the nonsc
aling region, d(mu) can be as large as (10(-24)- 10(- 23))e cm and thus wit
hin reach of the recently proposed Brookhaven experiment for a sensitive se
arch for d(mu) at the level of 10(-24) e cm.
