Some critical contributions to the search for a theoretical framework for coping in psychosis.

The present article defends the need to search for a theoretical framework to study coping in psychosis. A critical analysis is made of the Lazarus an d Folkman model, both in the general sphere of illness and in the area of p sychosis. The article ends with a discussion of the importance of this theo retical framework and a proposal for some modifications for its use in the sphere of psychotic patients.
