Abstract
An adult mixbreed female dog is presented with a megaoesophagus. The treatm
ent of a concomitant thyroidism allowed the total regression of the megaoes
ophagus, A litterature overview is presented, dealing with the correlation
between megaoesophagus and hypothyroidism. Diagnostic and therapeutic possi
bilities are discussed.
