Abstract
This paper outlines the application of wavelet analysis method to computeri ng wear particles image processing and introduces the concept of grain para meter for wear particle image based on statistical feature parameters. The feature of wear particles image can be obtained from the wavelet decomposit ion and the statistics analysis. Test results showed that grain parameter c an be used as a synthesizing feature parameter for wear particle image.
