Abstract
In this paper, a lot of ferrographic experiments have been made by means of rotary ferrograph and ferroscope. The oil sample of the experiments has be en collected from slip diesel engines. The data of the experiments has been analyzed based on grey relative analysis and relative order. The result of grey relative analysis shows that the effect of the dilution ratio of the oil sample is the most key factor, in which the volume and the dilution rat io of the oil sample, and the effect of the rotation speed of the magnetic disc on the deposition state of wear particles are investigated. This concl usion is in accordance with the orthogonal experiment based on the same oil sample. It provides a new practical method for ferrographic experimental a nalysis.
