Abstract
Aryl arenesulfinates rearrange to the corresponding arenesulfinyl phenols v ia a thia-Fries rearrangement on catalysis by anhydrous FeCl3 in dry dichlo romethane at room temperature in good to excellent yields. (C) 2001 Publish ed by Elsevier Science Ltd.
