Abstract
The structure of the title compound, [Co-2(C8H18Sn2)(CO)(6)], a distannyl-s ubstituted dicobaltatetrahedrane, shows geometrical parameters noticeably d ifferent from those observed in the only monostannyl-substituted dicobaltat etrahedrane structurally studied so far. Thus, the complexed acetylenic bon d in the title compound is shorter, and the cobalt-cobalt and cobalt-carbon bonds are longer, while the Sn-C-C angles are much smaller than in the com plex with monostannyl-substituted ligand.
