Abstract
Intravascular ultrasound was used to study 10 native coronary artery in-ste nt restenosis lesions before and after cutting balloon angioplasty.. Lumen enlargement was mostly the result of intimal hyperplasia extrusion through stent struts and, to a lesser extent, axial redistribution of the neointima into adjacent reference segments.
