Abstract
We demonstrated in vitro that YycG-YycF of Bacillus subtilis constitutes a two-component system and shows a specificity of the sensor protein for the cognate phosphorylation partner. Based on inhibition of such an autophospho rylation of YycG, we searched imidazole and zerumbone derivatives to identi fy the antibacterial agents such as NH125, NH126, NH127, and NH0891.
