High trans-1,4-polybutadiene (similar to 96% (trans)) was prepared by lanth
anum naphthenate catalytic system. The conductivity of obtained polybutadie
ne doped with iodine reaches about similar to 10(-3) s/cm, which is 2 order
s of magnitude higher am the value reported.(4,5) During the I-2-doping, th
e conjugated sequence was formed through double bond shifting reaction. Acc
ording to the relationship between conductivity and temperature, conducting
mechanism of doped high trans-1,4-polybutadiene is fit on variable range h
oping (VRH) model.
