Abstract
The soft original material that was used to make the permanent slides of Te mpere et Peragallo's 2(nd) edition of "Diatormees du Monde Entier" is avail able for study at the Laboratoire de Geologie of the Museum National d'Hist oire Naturelle, Paris. This paper gives a list of the localities where the samples were taken and a list of the new taxa described from these samples.
