Abstract
Using a hybrid method of moments/finite difference time domain technique, a study of the effects of human proximity on the polarisation purity of circ ularly-polarised handset antennas for personal satellite communications was undertaken. Assessments of specific absorption rate in the head were also made. The method gave stable results, in accordance With physical expectati ons. Good agreement With the pure method of moments was shown in simplified cases.
