Abstract
A reduced-complexity Jacobian radial basis function aided turbo equalisatio n (TEQ) scheme is proposed, which was found to provide a bit error ratio pe rformance similar to that of the conventional trellis-based TEQ benchmarker at a 14-fold reduced complexity for a serially concatenated systematic con volutional coded and systematic space-time trellis-coded arrangement.
