Abstract
The occurrence of Tenuiphantes cracens and Walckenaeria clavipalpis is repo rted for the first time in Canada. Thirteen other species are reported for the first time in Quebec. The total number of species for Quebec is now est imated at 825. Poeciloneta aggressa is the first cordilleran animal species recorded on the eastern side of the North-American continent. A biogeograp hical approach is complementary to strict contiguity criteria to predict sp ecies distribution.
