The occurrence of Tenuiphantes cracens and Walckenaeria clavipalpis is repo
rted for the first time in Canada. Thirteen other species are reported for
the first time in Quebec. The total number of species for Quebec is now est
imated at 825. Poeciloneta aggressa is the first cordilleran animal species
recorded on the eastern side of the North-American continent. A biogeograp
hical approach is complementary to strict contiguity criteria to predict sp
ecies distribution.
