Abstract
The isolable 16-electron half-sandwich Cls complex [OsBr(eta (C5Me5)-C-5)(P iPr(3))] has been synthesized and structurally characterized. This unsatura ted complex binds N-2 reversibly at low temperature as determined by IR and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. The reactions of the title complex with CO, H-2, PhSiH3, and its thermolysis in C6H6 are reported.
