It has been established experimentally that the domain structure in th
e ferroelectric Rb2ZnCl4 phase ''freezes'' near T = 150 K. This is ac
companied by characteristic behavior of similar to behavior of during
dielectric relaxation time, the temperature hysteresis and other quant
ities glasslike systems. It is assumed that the peak exceeds coercivit
y at T on the DTA curves, which is suppressed in an electric field an
d a dramatic decrease in domain boundary mobility are caused by a firs
t-order phase transition in the domain wall.
