Abstract
The generalized differential quadrature rule (GDQR) proposed recently by th e authors is applied here to third-order non-linear differential equations of the Blasius type and to sixth-order linear Onsager differential equation s. High (greater than or equal to 3rd)-order differential equations in flui d mechanics are dealt with without using delta -point techniques. The half- space domain is simplified in a practical way. Accurate results are obtaine d for both kinds of problems. The wide applicability of the GDQR in high-or der differential equations is manifested further through this work.
