Abstract
An analysis of the conformation of a wormlike polymer by small-angle s cattering is presented. By a combined investigation of small-angle X-r ay and of small-angle neutron scattering the effect of the finite size of the repeating units can be eliminated. The procedure suggested her ein therefore allows to obtain the scattering function for a respectiv e infinitely thin chain. The latter quantity is compared to current mo dels of the scattering function of wormlike chains.
