An empirical-statistical model of climatic changes in total ozone over
the Northern and Southern hemispheres was developed on the basis of d
ata of the global ground-based ozonometric network. Modeling was imple
mented with allowance made for very long-term variations (trends) in t
otal ozone, as well as regular and quasi-regular total ozone oscillati
ons of different periods, such as annual, quasi-biennial, 11-year, and
8-year oscillations. Optimal model parameters were selected from an a
nalytical description of global spacetime variations in total ozone. T
he random errors of model fits and its components were estimated.
