Abstract
Experimental results on the influence of contact separation rate oa adhesio n forces resulting from liquid bridges formed by both capillary condensatio n and deliberate introduction of liquid between contacting surfaces have be en presented. A model describing the influence of separation rate on overal l adhesion force including capillary and viscous contributions resulting fr om liquid bridge elongation has been proposed.
