Abstract
Experimental data obtained for three distinctive kinds of columns (spray, p acked, and reciprocating plate columns - RPC) were used to verify a kinetic model of drop population in any type of extractor. A favourable correlatio n was found between the data predicted by the model and those actually obta ined through experimental observation.
