Abstract
A mathematical model of the ion-exchange process in the chromatographic col umn is proposed in this study. The model includes mass transfer in the liqu id phase, adsorbate diffusion in sorbent pores and phase equilibrium on the sorbent pore surface. The model was applied to identify bed operation para meters in the experimental column. A very good agreement between experiment al and calculated data was obtained.
