Abstract
Measurements of the axial and tangential components of fluid velocity obtai ned by means of an LDA system in a stirred tank have been presented. The st udy has been carried out in a wall jet region of a stirred tank within the transitional flow regime (0.28% CMC and 75% glycerol solutions) and in the turbulent (water). The tank has been equipped with 4 standard baffles, a Ru shton turbine impeller or a 45 degrees pitched blade turbine impeller.
