B. Kowalski et al., SPIN-RESONANCE DETERMINATION OF THE EFFECTIVE G-FACTOR OF ELECTRONS IN LOW-DIMENSIONAL (GAIN)AS INP STRUCTURES/, Physica scripta. T, 54, 1994, pp. 100-103
Optically detected magnetic resonance measurements of the effective g-
value (g) of electrons in type-I GaxIn1-xAs/InP quantum wells are pre
sented. The observation of spin resonance on the circularily polarized
luminescence is explained in terms of recombination in a one-side p-m
odulation doped quantum well and spin thermalization. Quantum confinem
ent changes the electron effective g-value. It further induces a stron
gly anisotropic g-tensor. A calculation for the g(parallel to)-compon
ent agrees well with the experimental data, but the anisotropy can be
explained only qualitatively.
