Abstract
We constructed the one-particle Green functions for two systems exhibiting giant magnetoresistance. The first one is a multilayer with arbitrary magne tization directions of the ferromagnetic layers, exchange splitting of the conducting electron band and intrinsic potential. The second one is a segme nted nanowire with spin-dependent electron scattering at the lateral interf aces.
