A granular cell tumor may occur in any site of the body.(1,2) However, rare
ly it occurs as multiple lesions in the gastrointestinal tract.(3-7) It usu
ally appears as a small, poorly circumscribed nodule with a benign clinical
course. In most cases, a gastrointestinal granular cell tumor is found as
a round submucosal nodule covered by normal mucosa during endoscopy.(3,5-10
) Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) can provide detailed information about c
olonic submucosal tumors.(11-13) We report the case of a colonic granular c
ell tumor that was observed on EUS preoperatively.
