Abstract
The neck is a complex anatomic region containing fragile and vital structur es. Soft tissue injuries of the neck are relatively frequent occurrences, b ut lesions of a normal thyroid gland after blunt direct trauma are extremel y rare.(1,2) We report a case of cervical hematoma secondary to direct neck trauma in which sonography disclosed a thyroid gland rupture.
