Abstract
The heat treatment technique of 7175 aluminum alloy was optimized by classi cal gradient method and evolutionary algorithm, respectively. It is shown t hat the classical gradient method is liable to converge to a local optimal solution of heat treatment technique, whereas the evolutionary algorithm ca n converge to the global optimal solution of heat treatment technique.
