Rearrangements of functions in Besov spaces

A one-dimensional Polya-Szego type principle is proved for fractional order derivatives. As a consequence, the boundedness of the decreasing rearrange ment operator is established in Besov spaces B-p,q(alpha) (0, l) for alpha epsilon (0, 1 + 1/p).
