Abstract
We propose an optical configuration for a high-contrast reflective liquid c rystal display that can be applied to most of non-twist display modes. By f abricating a homogeneous cell with the proposed configuration, we demonstra ted high contrast ratio of 50:1 and fast response time of 12 ms without usi ng a wide-band film.
