Abstract
In 1983, Shepherd and Lee described the solitary necrotic nodule of th e liver, an uncommon non-malignant lesion with a characteristic histol ogical appereance. This nodule can often be misinterpreted as a necrot ic secondary tumour. Limited liver resection can make differential dia gnosis and cure the lesion.
