Bimolecular recombination of excess charge carriers in polymers was theoret
ically analyzed in terms of the Rose-Fowler-Vaisberg model. Used in compute
r-assisted numerical calculations were the model parameters determined prev
iously for poly (N-vinylcarbazole), polystyrene, and polyethylene terephtha
late) by measuring their radiation-induced conductivity. The obtained resul
ts make it possible to choose irradiation conditions that provide the small
signal regime used in laboratory tests to determine model parameters for p
olymers of interest.
