Mc. Zhang et al., Effects of composition and microstructure on intergrain interactions of nanocomposite Pr2Fe14B/alpha-Fe material, PROG NAT SC, 11(11), 2001, pp. 838-842
The effects of contents of Fe and B and microstructure on the intergrain in
teractions in the nanocomposite Pr2Fe14 B/alpha -Fe permanent magnetic mate
rials are investigated by measuring the deltaM-H curves. The intergrain int
eractions become stronger with the increase in the content of Fe. The large
r deltaM value of the ribbon samples corresponds to the smaller grain size
and uniform grain size distribution, which are favorable factors strengthen
ing the intergrain interactions and exchange-coupling. The non-ferromagneti
c phase Pr1.1Fe4B4 is found in grain boundaries when the content of B is la
rger, which weakens the intergrain interactions.
