Tensile tests, at temperatures ranging between 275 and 475 degreesC were pe
rformed in a suporduplex stainless steel EN 1.4410 The dependence of yield
stress and ultimate tensile strength un temperature indicates the existence
of dynamic strain aging (D-SA). In order tu evaluate the influence of stra
in rate un this phenomenon, tests were conducted ill two different strain r
ates, both at 325 degreesC, temperature at which DSA is maximum for this ma
terial. The results show that the flow stress has an inverse strain rate se
nsitivity which confirms the existence of DSA in the steel under study.
