In this investigation, the mechanical behavior of poly(methylmethacrylate)
due tu aging in Xenon test chamber, using a xenon-arch lamp as a light radi
ation to simulate natural sun light ha, been studied. This work studied, th
e mechanical properties (elongation at break, Young's modulus, tensile stre
ngth and toughness) of PMMA samples exposed to different aging conditions (
until 1560 h xenotest that correspond to 750 days exposure at natural light
). The evolution of different mechanical properties characterizes the PMMAs
process of degradation.
