Jg. Lee et al., EFFECT OF LI ON THE IONIC-CONDUCTIVITY AND LEACHING IN SIMULATED BOROSILICATE GLASSES, Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, 18(7), 1997, pp. 740-743
The ionic conductivity of several simulated borosilicate glasses was m
easured in the temperature range 150-600 degrees C in air. Leaching ex
periments were also carried out using Soxhlet apparatus at 100 degrees
C for 7 days. As Li+ ion increased in simulated borosilicate glasses,
both the ionic conductivity and leaching rate increased. The activati
on energy in the ionic conduction of the simulated borosilicate glasse
s was 1.38-1.45 eV in the high temperature region and 0.93-1.1 eV in t
he low temperature region.
