Abstract
A method for constructing explicit exact solutions of coupled ordinary nonl inear differential equations by using the special solutions of Riccati. equ ations is proposed. Two coupled nonlinear differentiall equations are studi ed using this method, and several new solutions ( either functional or para metrical) are explicitly obtained, in addition to rederiving all known solu tions in a systematic way.
